Modex 2022 Most Talked About: Opex Infinity
Modex - "Most Talked About" Prize STIQ's "Most Talked About" at Modex prize went to Opex for their new Infinity system. Our principal consultant received more questions - "What do you think of Opex Infinity" - than for any other exhibitor, system, etc. and hence took the top slot in the "Most Talked About" category at the 2022 Modex show. #1 ROBOTICS NETWORKING EVENT STIQ Ltd organised the first ever In-Person robotics networking event in London, UK on March 23rd via the "TLA Robotics" working group. This event was hosted by Shoosmiths in their very nice and central London offices, not more than 100metres from St. Pauls Cathedral. About 70 of 100 registered attendees showed up on the night which was an excellent result considering various remaining Covid issues. More Warehouse Automation funding: RightHand Robotics picks up $66m
Warehouse Automation investments exploding Hot on the heels of Exotec's massive $335m fundraising in Jan 2022, RightHand Robotics have picked up $66m in Feb 2022. Investors included existing shareholders and Thomas H Lee Partners and Softbank Vision Fund. Both THL and Softbank have invested heavily in the warehouse automation and robotics space for some time, most recently with their combined deal bringing AutoStore to public markets in 2021. AutoStore Q4 results; Rocketing results symptomatic of the sector
AUTOSTORE: ROCKET RESULTS! AutoStore (website) announced their 4th quarter results on Feb 17th, 2021 and what a rocket it was with c.80% year on year revenue increase to $327.6m in FY21. Whilst this was super impressive, it should be contextualised with a close to flat development between 2019 and 2020, much due to pandemic disruption.
