A review of eCommerce Expo, Olympia London September 26-27, 2018

Styleintelligence view: (down from 5 in 2017) eCommerce Expo is one of the largest ecommerce events in the UK attracting a very large audience over the two days to Olympia. The reason we have downgraded this show is due to the simple fact it has shrunk dramatically. Top vendors such as SAP, Manhattan Associates and many other big brands have disappeared from the layout. While this may be good for small to medium sized vendors it also show a certain trend for these larger ex-exhibitors to run their own events where they can spend more and control who is visiting...

A review of Retail Without Borders by We Are Pentagon

Definitely worth visiting!  Retail Without Borders 2018 #RWB18 is one of the better conferences for its networking opportunities. It is not one of the largest conferences, neither the best quality speakers (most often co-sponsors), but if you are looking to talking and networking with your peers this is definitely worth a visit. The fact the conference is held in the QE2 centre just opposite Houses of Parliament add is a bonus and very easy access. The event is organised by We Are Pentagon The main theatre at #RWB18, ex-Alibaba speker Al Gerrie, CEO at ZigZag Global

Day 1 @ NRF Javits New York

It was our first visit and a bit overwhelming initially. But as we found our footing it was quite a well arranged and impressive show, two more days to go though. However, the queue to Starbucks might well be the longest we have ever seen... Some noteworthy exhibitors: 42Technologies - These guys seems like a business with traction. Their UK clients include AllSaints and they are close to signing up a major sports chain in the UK (which will be a big scalp indeed!). 42 is a business intelligence suite and must have something going for them, be it...

Show Review: FinTech Connect Live, Excel, London, UK. Dec 6-7, 2017

FinTech Connect Live, Excel, London, UK. Dec 6-7, 2017 Our score for this show is 4/5. We visited on Dec 7th. There were plenty of visitors and a good number of exhibitors. It took us about 2 hours to visit all stands and have conversations with about 10 exhibitors. KYC and regulatory compliance was a key topic but there was a good mixture of exhibitors from smaller startups to the likes of GBG, The Bunker and Schroders. The more interesting business (from our retail technology viewpoint) were: Flynet – Client emulator software for legacy systemsAll legacy retailers should know about...

Trade show report: Ecommerce Expo, London, September 2017

Our verdict (of 5): Admittedly we visited Ecommerce Expo in 2016 and were very impressed and the September 2017 edition did not disappoint on content or exhibitors. In fact it seemed as the quality of exhibitors was slightly better than the previous show. Ecommerce Expo had everything from the usual suspects such as Shopify, SAP Hybris, Bronto, Marketo and others to some of the more exciting startups such as Mad Street Den, Phrasee and others. SAP Hybris were mightily excited about their rumoured $350m acquisition of Gigya and the opportunties this will mean for upselling to existing Gigya customers and...
