Trade show report: Shoptalk Europe, London, UK June 6-8, 2022
STIQ visited Shoptalk Europe 2022 and loved the ambience at this show. Few other shows manage to replicate this kind of environment.
There is a huge agenda with quality speakers from retailers, grocers and (of course) vendors talking on a variety of topics. The talks including retailers & grocers were highly appreciated by the audience.
Shoptalk takes great care at creating ambience at their events. We have never been at a show where there are raised audience seating as in the background (perhaps we need to get out more?)

Small details like free sweets, ice cream, etc. may be frowned upon by some, but are greatly appreciated by some visitors, us included.
AutoStore, a warehouse automation vendor showcased at Shoptalk alongside plenty of software companies.
... such as Spryker, the German e-Commerce/e-Grocery platform vendor. Note to listen to Alexander Graf's podcasts (Linkedin) with numerous excellent interviewees. Spryker and Alexander hosted some interviews at the show.
Healthy alternatives as well.
Doddle launched a partnership with Kiosk - Doddle & Kiosk. Basically an automatic in-store returns box for retailers. Interesting combo.
SES Imagotag should rethink their trade show signage/logo placements. It was near impossible to take a photo with their logo in the background (ok, we have short memory and need to see company names in the images or not post them as we may not know who the vendor is). SES Imagotag here showcased their new CAPTANA shelf labels including Pick To Light functionality (7 different colours) to improve in-store order picking for grocers.

AND FINALLY...
How to get there: A significant improvement to the location at Excel London is the newly launched Elizabeth Line which takes anyone from Tottenham Court road in Central London to the event venue in 20mins. Visitors also avoid the occasionally confusing DLR instructions from Bank or Tower Gate (depending where you travel from). Thumbs up to London Excel from STIQ!
