Trade Show Report: AWS Summit, London 2022
AWS Summit is not your standard trade show. It is a huge event to celebrate all the aspects of Amazon Web Services and also a monument (albeit temporary) to the success of the AWS division within Amazon. As a trade event, this was probably one of the top visited events I have been to. Although NRF 2019 was pretty awesome as well. The sheer number of sponsors that AWS attracts is more evidence of the success of the event in itself. Especially if you consider that sponsors pay to showcase here and that they may simply decline showing elsewhere. Amazon must have spun...
Trade Show Report: Retail Technology Show 2022
Hoisted as the "New flagship event for retail technology", this event certainly set our expectations at a pretty high level. The Retail Technology Show was held in London, UK at the Olympia trade show complex (currently undergoing refurbishment) on April 26-27, 2022. Due to meetings, etc. we could only spare 3 hours for the show and we were on the small queue to get into the show at 8.45am. Having gone through bag check we were held at the bottom of the stairs with a refreshing countdown to opening. It took us one hour and a bit to walk through the show,...

Trade Show Report: SiTL
SiTL 2022 Review SiTL [link] is the largest intralogistics trade show in France and STIQ had not visited until now. At first sight, the number of visitors seemed a bit low, judging from the exterior. However, once inside, there was plenty of activity. In fact, whilst the show was quite small (compared to Modex and LogiMat), it felt very busy thanks to the many very well designed stands. The show covers quite a wide range of companies from forklift vendors, property investors, robotics companies, to 3PLs and younger startups. Despite the mix of companies, there were very interesting conversations with many...
Trade Show Report: Modex 2022
MODEX 2022 Review If you are involved in warehouse automation and material handling, Modex [website] (and its sister show, ProMAT) is the main trade show. Modex 2022 did not disappoint and was super busy with around 800 exhibitors. The Atlanta Georgia World Congress Center did not have huge Modex banners on the outside notifying everyone of where to go and what is happening. However, once inside the centre there were plenty of banners and information directing even first time visitors (like us) where to go easily. Modex was held March 28-31 (Monday - Thursday) and according to more experienced hands, the show gets...
